Good Grief takes home the Most Creative Film and Best Cinematography awards at the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival in Scottsdale Arizona on Saturday March 9th, 2024 and Director Ash Blodgett was there to accept the awards. The Best Cinematography award was granted to Director of Photography Becky Davis and was sponsored by Panavision, which included a $60K camera rental package.

Ash Blodgett was awarded the Best Female Director award at the Central Coast International Film Festival on Saturday February 3rd 2024. Director of Photography Becky Davis was nominated for Best Cinematography and Good Grief was nominated for Best Short Film. Ash, Becky, and the rest of the all female camera crew (Nathalie Rodriguez and Lalita Segal) were at the festival to accept the award.

Director/Writer/Editor Ash Blodgett sat down with Radio Dubuque’s Johnny Rhodes for a brief interview about Good Grief. Ash dives into how the location inspired the film, how it’s based on her own personal life, and the challenges of telling a powerful story in such a short amount of time.
